The panel will focus on the underrepresentation of women in the news and entertainment industries. This diverse group of leading women is making a difference in the world in spite of this imbalance. Women at the Top: Female Empowerment in Media will be held on Friday, June 10th and is presented by Camuto Group.<\/p>\n<p>Dan Cogan (Impact Partners) and Alexandra Shiva (Gildalya Pictures) will take part in a panel discussion moderated by Alison Davis (J.P. Morgan Private Bank) entitled Driving Social Change Through Investments in Film. This is a luncheon and panel bringing together philanthropists, investors, and leaders in the filmmaking community to discuss investing in social impact films and how to promote the causes you care about most. Driving Social Change Through Investments in Film will be held on Friday, June 10th and is presented by J.P. Morgan Private Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Bringing together novelists, screenwriters, and agents, From Book to Screen is a panel that will focus on the myriad of challenges these groups face and the rewards they reap when it comes to adapting books for film and television shows. Panelists include Margaret Nagle (screenwriter, \u201cThe Good Lie\u201d), David Ebershoff (author, \u201cThe Danish Girl\u201d), Jessica Knoll (novelist, \u201cLuckiest Girl Alive\u201d), Lacy Lalene Lynch (agent, Dupree\/Miller &amp; Associates), Adriana Trigiani (novelist, \u201cBig Stone Gap\u201d), and Chris Clarke (screenwriter, \u201cApostle Paul\u201d). Moderated by Kathie Lee Gifford, the panel will take place on Sunday, June 12th and be followed by a book signing with Knowles, Trigiani and Eberhoff, organized by Diane\u2019s Books.<\/p>\n<p>As part of GIFF\u2019s sponsorship with Samsung, the company, along with The Nantucket Project will be hosting a Virtual Reality lounge on Saturday, June 11th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 123 Mason Street. The lounge will deliver an exciting new form of storytelling, through an immersive virtual reality experience. Using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus, festival-goers will be transported to another world. GIFF\u2019s 2nd edition will feature over 40 films, panel discussions, lavish parties and special events.
