\"\"When I decided to get vaccinated, I couldn’t schedule a timely appointment at the vaccination centers near where I live with my parents in Stonington, Connecticut. I eventually found one timely but it was two hours away in Wethersfield, Connecticut.<\/a><\/p>\n

Because of what I had been reading and researching of the vaccine\u2019s high efficacy<\/a> and the idea of having some form of protection from the pandemic as it was claiming and continuing to claim lives and make people sick, I drove.<\/p>\n

Past the temperature check point, patients are asked to proceed through the building following the taped path on the floor, and in the event of a line, asked to stand at the circles spaced 6 feet apart.<\/p><\/div>\n

Marlena Freitas was assigned to document her vaccination experience. She is a second semester senior expecting to graduate this June with a media studies major and a focus in journalism and a minor in history. Marlena Freitas did her ZOOM bivouac at her parents home in Stonington, CT AKA the Stonington Borough, after the Hunter College campus closed. When not ZOOM-ing for classes, following up with studies, she worked two part-time jobs, one as a barista in a local caf\u00e9 and the other as a nanny for two young kids.
