Richard Prince is a African-American journalist who started “Journal-isms” at the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education and later became an independent operator. Although his news column was started to focus on diversity issues in the news media, the breadth of the reportage rivals CNN’s Reliable Sources about the news media in general. In 1972, he was a member of the Metro Seven group who protested discrimination at the Washington Post.
