Beatific and surrealistic, scene-segues of the older Issac & Jude to the younger Issac & Jude and back, glow effervescently, figuratively speaking. These weren’t flashbacks, that was for sure. At the time of the interview, however, the writer-reviewer was fumbling, like a misfiring engine, with questions about what he had seen. The director resolved his dismay.

Narrative, Documentary & Animated Selections – 2019 Tribeca Film Festival Short Films Lineup

The short films will be presented in 11 distinct competition programs, consisting of six narrative, four documentary, and one animation program. There will also be special screening programs for the annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival and the debut of shorts from The Queen Collective, a program aimed at accelerating gender and racial equality behind the camera. The 2019 shorts lineup is programmed by Sharon Badal and Ben Thompson. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 – May 5.

The 18th edition of the Tribeca Film Festival is scheduled April 24 to May 5, 2019 in the Big Apple, another round of ecstatic celebration of storytelling in all forms from film to TV, VR to gaming. Submissions open August 20 for feature and short films; episodic and online storytelling; virtual, immersive, and augmented reality; as well as branded entertainment.

LITTLE WOODS Film Review, Tribeca Film Festival

Started working on this review as I was shaking off the willies from watching the perils facing the female characters in this superb movie, grisly yet eloquent if you can imagine, written and directed by Nia Dacosta primarily about two sisters whose fates seem to be repeatedly at risk no matter what they try to do or did do right.

Juries Selected for 17th Annual Tribeca Film Festival April 18-29

The members of 10 juries, reflecting the tone and texture of the annual cultural showcase celebrating storytelling in film, television, virtual reality, music and games, will be tasked with honoring the new works of emerging and established members of the creative community with unique art awards and cash prizes as they present their works at the annual Festival.

17th Annual Tribeca Film Festival Brings Small Screen Storytelling to The Big Screen …

The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, supported by AT&T, will debut highly anticipated TV shows and introduce audiences to online storytellers without boundaries in its Tribeca TV and N.O.W. (New Online Work) sections. Those will includes 18 shows made up of eight series premieres, three season premieres, one mid-season premiere, two feature documentaries and five indie pilots.
