CLODAGH tells a marvelous story about a housekeeper for a Catholic priest in a rural Irish village who crosses paths with a young girl of exceptional dancing talent. The film, according to publicity, explores themes of faith, morals and how art can change people. This film short, directed by British/Irish Filmmaker Portia A. Buckley, is being regaled as a cinematic tour de force .
CLODAGH is produced by Michael Lindley of Afternoon Pictures and PG Productions. It was Executive Produced by Academy Award winner Serena Armitage. Actress Bríd Ní Neachtain plays Mrs. Kelly, a righteously honest housekeeper. Clodagh is played by actress Katelyn Rose Downey, the protagonist provoking a moral and spiritual dilemma.
Regarding this short film beaut, audiences may overlook or possibly forget what they are accustomed to seeing in feature films but those features enhance this superb short, things such as the small cast, minimalist dialogue for much of the film and the fact that the film short isn’t in widescreen format.
